Keisha Williams

3rd Vice President

Keisha Williams started her career in June 2000. A 20-year veteran of the New York City Department of Correction, upon completing the academy was assigned to EMTC. For 14 years Keisha Williams worked housing area post which included mental health observation and work detail housing areas.

Keisha Williams knows the challenges of Correction Officers behind the gates. In 2015 she was awarded her first post as the civilian clothes box officer. At this point in her career she demanded that administration give officers the opportunity to be awarded posts. She later was awarded the movement escort post where she learned classification, job assignment, and sentence help.

In 2018 she was elected delegate at EMTC where she specialized in filing grievances against administration. Upon EMTC closure, Keisha Williams was reassigned to QDC and still continues to represent all Correction Officers. Keisha is a wife and a mother of 2 children, one with special needs, and she understands the plight of officers needing special accommodations to do their jobs. As Third Vice President I will ensure that the voices of all Correction Officers are heard. With your support we can make this change now. Remember that you are not forgotten.
