Mark Mack was appointed into the Department of Correction as a correction officer in 1988. He worked various facilities which were MTF1, GMDC, MTF2, MDC for 8 years. In 1996 Mark was assigned to ERU/ESU and served 22 years where he trained in  law practices and procedures, advance law enforcement rapid response active shooter, Energetic Materials performance level, criminal investigator, force science, and emotional survival in law enforcement, emergency psychology technician.

While serving in ERU/ESU he also became a COBA Delegate in 2010 for eight years. In addition, Mark is adept in security intel and certified as a training instructor in multiple disciplines such as Chemical Agents, Taser, Restraints, Cell Extractions, and Hostage Negotiator level II, executive protection, policy and procedures, expandable baton. To name a few.

Mark is a member of N.O.B.L.E., F.O.P. board member, Guardians, I.L.E.E.T.A. (national instructors)

As of June 2018 Mark, was appointed to the COBA Executive Board of Trustees in the capacity of Queens Borough Trustee. Where he is able to provide advisement and counseling on specialized tactics and instruct our members on proper protocol for in-house procedures that will allow him to deliver effective, reliable and committed results.

Mark Mack is a man who believes in Serving and protecting his fellow officers. He leads by example and have a pay it forward attitude towards life. Mark Mack is the epitome of Bold and Brave.
